John
Wallace Benecke Interiors, a Southern California-based full service interior design
and décor firm specializing in fine homes, was founded in 1980 with a focus
on creating residential interior environments that reflect the individuality and
lifestyle of each homeowner. As the founder and principal visionary for John Wallace
Benecke Interiors, Benecke has developed a portfolio of work that emphasizes a
unique ability to blend the richness and elegance of classic European design with
the casual and accessible California lifestyle. John Benecke's beautiful
work has been featured in the Philharmonic House of Design in 1996, 1999 and 2002.
His interior design has also been an integral part of the CHOC Home Tour, Lake
Arrowhead Home Tour, and the Corona del Mar High School PTA Home Tour, in which
three homes containing his work were featured. John's significant portfolio of
interior designs has also been featured in publications including Los Angeles
Times, Orange County Register, W Magazine, Designers West Magazine, Orange Coast
Magazine, and Fresh Country Style, a book by Mary Wynn Ryan. Benecke
is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). He also served
as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Certificate Program in Interior
and Environmental Design, University of California at Irvine from 1995 to1996.
John served on the Board of Directors for the Philharmonic Society of Orange County
(1995-2003), AIDS Services Foundation of Orange County (1990-2001), and AIDS Walk
Orange County (1994-1997). He is also a sought after speaker and design
expert. Some of his engagements include the Bowers Museum, and the Decorative
Arts Forum at the Balboa Bay Club. John holds degrees from
United States International University, San Diego, CA and the University of Colorado,
